Dr. Sloan is a board certified neurologist who has been in solo, private practice for 22 years. Chicago trained at a Level-1 trauma center, she is experienced in a wide spectrum of disorders and has been a longstanding and committed member of the community since 1998. She is the founder of The NeuroLife Consortium, a cosmopolitan-appointed wellness center focusing on customer service, which houses her full service adult neurological practice. Dr. Sloan’s therapies offer traditional pharmacology, up to date new technology, as well as more holistic and conservative remedies which honor her osteopathic roots. She believes that taking time with each patient, listening, attaining a careful history and examination, and considering how other aspects of a patient’s health affects their neurological health is important. Although accepting patients for all types of neurological disorders, Dr. Sloan holds special interest in migraine, epilepsy and nerve disorders. She offers full testing for EMG and EEG, provides Botox injections for migraine, and maintains VNS for epilepsy, DBS for tremor and Parkinson’s disease, and intrathecal baclofen pumps for spasticity. In addition, The Consortium also incorporates Respite Sleep Diagnostic Center for the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders, Renew Wellness Center now focusing on massage, nutrition and infusion therapy, The Foundation Fitness & Therapy Studio, and Basil Event Room, a 1000 sq. ft. space utilized for philanthropy, community outreach and patient education, and also available for rent to the public for special occasions and gatherings. Dr. Sloan enjoys cooking and sharing time with friends and family and loves her 2 canine children, Charles & Henry.
