Harshad Bhatt is a patient-oriented, patient, and kind psychiatrist helping his patients restore their mental health and function at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. Dr. Bhatt is affiliated with the American Psychiatric Association, American Medical Association, and American Medical Writers Association. He applies his neuroscientific approach to psychiatry, assisting his patients by exploring how neurons and neurocircuitry can be repaired after injury, stress, developmental issues, or disease to restore mental functionality.
Dr. Bhatt began his medical education at New York University, receiving his undergraduate degrees and his Master's in Neural Science. He then attended the State University of New York at Stony Brook, where he earned his Doctor of Medicine and PhD in Neurobiology and Behavior. Dr. Bhatt completed his residency in psychiatry at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. He also completed a post-doctoral fellowship with Cornell at the NYU Skirball Institute.
Dr. Bhatt assists his patients in overcoming many issues including, but not limited to, obsessive-compulsive disorder, depression, anxiety, alcoholism, and grief.
