Damita L. Bryant, MD joined Nashville Neuroscience Group in 2018 and has since assumed the role as head physician in the practice. Dr. Bryant brings with her over 20 years of expertise in the treatment of neuromuscular diseases and chronic pain conditions, including migraine. Dr. Bryant is originally from New York City and received her medical school education at Albany Medical College and her post graduate training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation from the renowned Robert Wood Johnson – JFK Johnson Rehabilitation Institute in New Jersey. Dr. Bryant also received her Physician Executive-Masters in Business Administration from The University Of Tennessee – Knoxville in 2005.
Dr. Bryant has been in the Middle Tennessee area since 2008 and spent her first 10 years treating chronic pain syndromes – including head and neck pains. She has extensive experience in minimally invasive procedures such as Botox injections and peripheral nerve blocks to treat chronic pain, head and neck tremors, cervical dystonia, upper and lower limb spasticity, and muscle spasm pains related to scoliosis. Dr. Bryant has also served as the principal investigator in multiple clinical research trials for headaches and migraine.
Dr. Bryant is a current member of the National Headache Foundation and the American Headache Society. She is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation as well as the American Board of Pain Medicine.
