Great Doctor !! Very knowledgeable!!! Just wished the nurse Mayra could have been as nice as the Doctor was, if you are going to work with patients you have to have patience and really like what you do. Overall, the doctor was great!! Highly recommend him !!!

Jeffrey A Steiner, MD completed his undergraduate degree at Brown University. He continued with his medical degree at the Sackler School of Medicine at Tel Aviv University before completing his Internal Medicine Residency, Chief Residency and formal training in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the New York University (NYU) Medical Center, named by US News as one of America’s Best Hospitals for Digestive Disorders.
Dr. Steiner joined Gastrointestinal Diagnostic Centers and the Memorial Healthcare System in 1994. Dr. Steiner is Chief of Staff at Memorial Hospital Pembroke. Dr. Steiner is a member of the Board of Trustees for the Sackler School of Medicine at Tel Aviv University.

I made my appt b/c of pain and high concern about getting bad diagnosis. After through and extensive physical/interview with doctor he assured me I was suffering from something benign, common and easily treated. He gave me a treatment plan and prescription for OTC med. Told me to come back in one week if my problem didn't resolve and to call right away if I had problems with treatment plan. Very, very caring doctor and staff! I got a phone call from the nurse at 3 days and 5 days post appt asking me how I was doing which surprised me! My problem resolved and more than a year later has not returned. I highly recommend Dr. Cohen and his medical/office staff. Excellent experience! Thanks!

I've never felt so vulnerable and humiliated. Dr. Cohen is condescending and cruel.
I am still in a great deal of pain and will have to wait several days to see a new doctor.
He offered no palliative care while the imaging tests could be scheduled.

Was told by my primary that my GI would be the clinician to order a specific test. Dr. Cohen flat out told me no, and in so many words that I should basically accept my issues as a "new normal". You don't have health insurance you can't get help; you have health insurance and still no help. I felt disregarded as a patient, and will not be going back.

I was very pleased that they were able to see me on a Friday under such short notice. I was even more pleased that they were able to schedule my next procedure on the following Monday. The Dr. was very pleasant and I would return and I would definitely recommend him to future patients.

I saw another physician in the group (Dr. Dooreck) -- he was excellent and caring -- and the practice overall was very professional and top-notch. When looking at their website all the physicians are well-trained and my experience for my screening colonoscopy was so much better than I thought. The Endoscopy Center was clean and the nursing staff very attentive to my needs. I highly recommend this practice and also found ZocDoc to be a great application! Thank you.
