Dr. Daniel O’Connor is a board-certified anesthesiologist and a fellowship-trained interventional pain management specialist who currently helps patients in Scottsdale. As a physician in the Valley for the past ten years, Dr. O’Connor has endorsed a comprehensive, compassionate, and multimodal approach to pain control.
A Chicago native, Dr. O’Connor graduated from Loyola University’s Stritch School of Medicine. He then went on to train with the prestigious department of anesthesiology at Northwestern University. He specialized in regional anesthesia training under thought leaders in the field. Ultimately he was honored as Chief Resident at Northwestern University.
After completing his training, he felt compelled to move to his favorite childhood state, Arizona. He was offered a position in the Valley as a regional anesthesiologist. After much success in providing excellent care as an anesthesiologist he was granted positions on the board of directors in his group, as well as granted the position of Medical Director of Greenbaum Specialty Hospital with Scottsdale Health Care.
Although difficult to leave that position, Dr. O’Connor felt a calling to do more to help patients with acute and chronic pain. He joined Arizona Pain Specialists as a fellow in 2014. After graduating from the intensive fellowship training experience, Dr. O’Connor joined staff and is seeing patients in the Scottsdale area. His commitment is to a multimodal, comprehensive, compassionate, and holistic approach to increasing his patient’s quality of life and decreasing their pain so that they may enjoy life!
