I’m Dr. Daniel Tarquinio, a child neurologist and epilepsy specialist. I care for both children and adults, and specialize in rare epilepsies and neurodevelopmental disorders, such as Rett syndrome, CDKL5, FOXG1, MECP2 Duplication, Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome, and Pitt Hopkins Syndrome. I try to provide a “medical home” for people with complex medical needs, and work with a number of other specialists. If you or your child have general neurology concerns I’m happy to help with that as well. In addition to clinic, I am currently leading a clinical trial investigating the use of triheptanoin in Rett syndrome (NCT02696044), and was the lead investigator on a multi-site study designed to improve outcome measures and biomarkers for Rett syndrome clinical trials. I created Rett-specific Growth Charts, and have written many papers about Rett syndrome and other rare diseases. Although I now run a private clinic, I aim to provide the high-quality multidisciplinary care I experienced while training in academic clinics at Boston Children's Hospital and Boston Medical Center.

He really was so amazing and patient and so kind!!! All the other doctors I’ve had thus far have been so mean and short-tempered!! Also- my caregiver was with me, and from working with so many different patients herself, she was taken aback by how kind he was too not only me, but to my mom, my sister, and her too (!), compared to all the countless other doctors she’s had to encounter over the many years she has been a caregiver!!!
