Daniel M. Zeitler, MD is the newest Neurotologist at Denver Ear Associates arriving in 2011. Originally from North Carolina, Dr. Zeitler graduated Magna Cum Laude from Northwestern University and earned his M.D. from New York University where he graduated first in his class and as a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He completed his residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at New York University and subsequently received his board certification in Otolaryngology. Dr. Zeitler then completed a two year fellowship in Otology/ Neurotology & Skull Base Surgery at the University of Miami. Dr. Zeitler has engaged in numerous clinical and basic science research projects, has published over 30 articles in medical journals, has authored several book chapters, and has presented his work at national and international meetings.
Dr. Zeitler’s clinical interests include cochlear implantation, bone-anchored hearing aids (Baha), benign and malignant tumors of the ear and skull base, facial nerve disorders, cholesteatoma and chronic ear disease, ear infections, and hearing loss. Dr. Zeitler is certified in the use of the Cyberknife® robotic radiosurgery system, and collaborates with neurosurgeons and radiation oncologists in the treatment of a variety of ear diseases. Dr. Zeitler enjoys caring for newborn, pediatric, adolescent, and adult patients, but has a special interest in pediatric hearing loss and pediatric cochlear implantation.
Dr. Zeitler is a clinical instructor of Otolaryngology at the University of Colorado and Denver Health. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology and the American Neurotology Society. He also serves on the American Academy of Otolaryngology’s Otology/Neurotology Education Committee.

I could not recommend a physician or specialist more highly than Dr Zeitler. he is exceptional in his ability to understand my concerns and situation and in his cutting edge knowledge of his field. At times his degree of empathy makes you think he himself has hearing loss. Dr Zeitler is a passionate advocate and a truly dedicated man to his profession.

Dr. Z always asks questions and assesses the issue and makes me feel comfortable. This visit was great as always. I feel like there is a resolution to my ear issue.

I consulted Dr Zeitler for a second opinion and after testing Dr Zeitler assured me that the first physician had, as I suspected, reached a hasty decision with insufficient information. I do not have the more serious issue the first physician described. Dr Zeitler's communication skills are as outstanding as his medical credentials.
