Danielle Layton, MSN, FNP-C, is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner who started her career as a registered nurse in an acute care setting. After working as a nurse for seven years, she attended Frontier Nursing University to obtain her Masters in Nursing. Her goal in becoming an FNP was to provide optimal care without just diagnosing and prescribing pharmaceuticals that cause negative side effects and mask a patient’s symptoms without getting to the root cause. She wants to empower her patients by helping them achieve optimal lifestyle changes that prevent illness and disease from happening in the first place. Through her own health journey, Danielle discovered Functional Medicine. This focuses on the cause of a health issue down to the cellular level, aiming to restore balance in the body by giving it the tools needed to promote self-healing. Danielle accomplishes this in her patients by reducing inflammation and correcting deficiencies through dietary changes, increased exercise, stress reduction, and supplementation. She has become passionate about Functional Medicine after seeing how it has alleviated her patients suffering and leads them to a greater quality of life. Danielle resides in Klamath Falls with her husband and two children. They love spending quality family time outdoors hiking, taking walks, and swimming. She also loves photography.
