More about Dr. Darren Bergey, MD
Dr. Bergey graduated from Loma Linda University School of Medicine. He graduated 5th in his class of 150. He began surgical residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester MN prior to completing his Orthopedic Surgery training at Loma Linda University. Dr. Bergey then completed a combined neurosurgical and orthopedic Spine Surgery fellowship at Cedars Sinai Institute for Spinal Disorders. He is a member of the North American Spine Society (NASS), the International Society for Minimal Intervention in Spinal Surgery (ISMISS) and Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
Dr. Bergey has experience in treating all aspects of spinal disorders. He has participated in numerous FDA clinical trials including Total Disc Arthroplasty-Active L and Coflex devices. He has authored and published book chapters as well as peer reviewed research that has been presented both nationally and internationally.
Dr. Bergey is experienced in the latest minimally invasive spine surgery techniques. Although he has extensive experience in correcting failed surgeries and spinal deformities, his focus is choosing the least invasive methods to treat spinal problems. His current interest is in providing patients access to nonfusion techniques including: Laser/Endoscopic Spinal surgery and Stemcell surgery.
He currently practices out of Newport Beach and Colton Ca offices.
