Dr. Chua was absolutely incredible! 12/10! He was patient, gave me his sincere concern about my issues, and spoke with clear knowledge and care. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone.
My hospital told me the earliest appointment with a GI specialist was 3 months. Frustrated, a late night Google search led me to the ZocDoc app, and to this particular office. I made my appointment on the app and was seen less than 2 days later (in the evening, after work). I walked in today and immediately went up to the front desk to check in; no lines, no wait. Within a few minutes, I was seen by a friendly nurse who took my vitals and with whom I exchanged pleasantries. Everyone I came across was very helpful, polite, and pleasant, which helped calm my frazzled nerves. Dr. Chua’s bedside manners are among the best I’ve ever seen. He was very friendly and knowledgable, and took his time/didn’t rush the consultation. He really listened and made what I expected to be an uncomfortable visit, a surprisingly easy and painless one. Also, very convenient location, right off I-55 (and they have their own parking lot so you don’t have to search for street parking)
Dr. Chua is really helpful - answers my questions very patiently and professionally. He provides a lot of useful suggestion on how to take care of my situation
Dr. Chua is absolutely wonderful. He is very professional and you can tell he truly cares about his patients. He really listens to you and makes you feel comfortable. He is extremely knowledgeable and eager to make sure you correctly identify any issues so that they can be resolved.
Doctor Chua was not too quick to diagnose my situation or go through unnecessary tests but rather listened to the situations I was experiencing and was able to point me in the right direction.
Dr. Chua had a great demeanor and was very approachable. I have had a few consultations in the past with other gastroenterology specialists and Dr. Chua was by far the best I've encountered. He took his time to understand my condition and felt very present. He was knowledgeable and compassionate. I felt heard when I left and feel hopeful about my course of treatment.
I appreciated Dr. Chua's honest and open communication about the best steps to take in order to get healthy again. He was thorough and took his time to answer all of my questions.
Dr. Chua was great, very caring and explained everything that was going on.
Very thorough, knowledgable, and patient. Took to time to both explain and listen. Would recommend him to anyone!
Excellent service! Very attentive and informative. Great listener and I really felt like he wanted to help me feel better. I did not feel rushed at all and he was very personable. The atmosphere is ver welcoming and so are the staff. After many doctors before him, I've finally found one who actually cares about my health!
This was my first time meeting Dr. Chua his was running behind by 1 hour but they managed to see me at my schedule appointment time. He listens to you as well as suggest what you need in order to solve the problem. I was scheduled to have a EDG the next day however I was told that since my deductible was not meet that I had to put half on the unmet deductible as down payment, apply for care credit. This options were not obtainable for me and this is how this practice group operates. My advice is that you must meet your deductible in order to see this doctor should you require any test beyond an office visit. This is very discouraging to see a physician and you can't continue to stay with them because the deductible has not been met. If I had the money I would definitely had continue my service with Dr. Chua but it was short lived. I think the practice needs to look a payment plan options of what patients can afford. I was given the option to put half of what they were asking for and the rest could be in installments. Because I knew I didn't have that either and the test was scheduled for the next day I have to seek out another provider.
Very knowledgeable. Explained everything to me. Trust him with my care.
The wait was incredibly long. His bedside manner was awful. Would not recommend him.
Dr. Chua is very knowledgeable on all issues gastroenterology, however if you're going to see him plan on taking the day off. Wait time is super long.
Dr. Chua was really excellent. He took the time to listen to my symptoms and get a full history, and to explain what he thought the problems might be and what the next steps should be. He was very warm and present in my appt (not at all condescending or rushed), and he's also dedicated to finding the root causes of my problems! Lots of gastro issues can be complicated/confusing to diagnose, but he told me he really believes that there is always a cause and it's just a matter of looking at the right things and asking the right questions. I left feeling very positive about working with him!
Very thorough and patient.
The staff was very professional office very clean and doctor Chua was great, highly recommended
Explains the diagnosis thoroughly. However, he seems to brush aside the potential side effects of the drugs he prescribes. Should explain that more. Overall, a very knowledgeable and nice doctor.
He was very professional and explained my problem in a way I would understand. im very holy with the service and would recommend him for my family and friends.
Wonderful doctor & staff! Very happy with my experience! Dr. Chua is extremely down to Earth & sincerely care for his patients!
The entire staff here is wonderful, extremely personable, & attentive to every patient's needs. I also can't say enough about Dr. Chua. He truly cares for his patients, & explains everything in a way that you can understand without feeling embarrassed. As much as having a colonoscopy stinks, I am so happy that there are offices & doctors like Dr. Chua to work with!!
Dr. David was very polite and listened to all our questions with patience and was able to clarify all our doubts. We were quite happy with the suggestions and feedback given by him.
Dr. Chua was extremely pleasant and very realistic in his expectations for my procedure. It was clear that he was very proud of his work, and enjoyed it just the same. Would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a gastroenterologist.
Amazing Doctor!! He was very informative, kind, and patient. I would highly recommend his service. He establishes conversation and makes you feel comfortable before diving into "what brought you in today?" so you never feel rushed.
Dr. Chua was very nice with me. He was very friendly and happy.
Dr Chua seemed really nice and encouraging and prescribed me something which i was supposed to pick up at the front desk, on the way out. I felt hopeful and encouraged and that he really listened to me, well. I picked up the medicine, and was confused as the directions were different than what he had described. I went home and realized that they had given me something that was the OPPOSITE of what i was supposed to take. They would not speak to the doctor about it when i called, and would not let me walk across the street to CVS to obtain what he had prescribed. I ended up having to take the train back, and then wait, outside, while they had someone come from another office, to unlock the door and give me the correct meds (even though there was a receptionist, inside, the entire time i was waiting on the sidewalk). They wanted to have me come in for another procedure, that Dr. Chua had discussed with me, but i felt that since they messed that up so badly, i didn't trust them to further treat me. I am pretty sure that Dr. Chua, himself, never knew what had happened, but i don't want to pay for another visit, just to tell him that. I have never been billed, by the doctor, but recently was notified that i am to pay for the full office visit, by my insurance, even though it a complete waste of my time and actually had the potential to be harmful to my health.
FINALLY a gastro doctor who actually CARES about my wellbeing! I wanted to cry in happiness after the appointment. I have had some pretty poor experiences with other doctors who just say "take this" or "you can try a new diet...if you want". The others I have seen never wanted to get figure out why my body is doing this. Dr. Chua is like no other doctor. He is genuine in his care for his patients and I absolutely trust him. There is not a doubt in mind that he will figure out why all of this is happening with my digestive system.
Wait time was long but I appreciated that there were late appts (7:15pm) because I can't go any earlier - not many doc's offer those late appts. I was very impressed by his explanation of my issue - very thorough and detailed, kept asking if everything made sense... He really educates the patient which is awesome and most doc's don't do that unfortunately. I also liked that he offered non-invasive options first and that surgery would be a last resort. The best part? At the end he asked if there was anything else concerning me medically that he could possibly assist with.... I was so shocked a doctor had asked me that. Most times it's just "okay we're done, see the receptionist, bye" -- so, thank you for really caring about my health. I would highly recommend this doctor! Lastly - a little hard to find the building but I called and they helped with directions.
