After a less than ideal experience with another GI doc, I was hesitant to see Dr. Chua. However, I was pleasantly surprised with the office staff and Dr. Chua himself. He really listened and took time to explain his clinical reasoning. He laid out a 3 step plan for treatment which was completely individualized. I will be returning to him for a colonoscopy soon. While I'm less than excited about it, I know I'll be in good hands.

So far so good! I’ve been having a lot of GI issues and had seen other doctors with no straight answers. Dr. Chua saw me on a Saturday evening which I was really impressed with. He left me feeling very hopeful and gave me the answers I was looking for. Still need further testing but like I said, so far so good!

Dr. David C. Chua is a competent and detail-oriented Gastroenterologist serving the Chicago metropolitan area six days a week, with availability Saturdays, & available evening hours. He is the Founder of our practice, Chief of the Department of Gastroenterology at Presence Saints Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center, Medical Director for Summit SurgiCare, Medical Director for South Loop Endoscopy, and Medical Director for Summit Center of Clinical Research. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine, board-certified in Gastroenterology, and has been a pioneer in Advanced Endoscopy. Patients may be interested to know that he has both a Gastroenterology/Hepatology Fellowship from Rush University & a Hepatology Research Fellowship from the University of Chicago.

The office never confirmed my appointment, so I had to go in perso, hoping that I was in the system. After my visit, they failed to send my prescription to the pharmacy. Getting on the phone with them has been completely unsuccessful.
