Getting to know Dr. David Lehman
I provide assessment, evaluation, and treatment for multiple psychiatric disorders including mood disorders, addictions, anxiety disorders, psychosis, and difficulties navigating the vicissitudes of life. What should a new client know about working with you?
I specialize in combining psychopharmacology with psychotherapy. I want to take the time to get to know an individual before settling on a diagnosis or treatment plan. I sometimes use hypnosis as a treatment or augmentation.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
Most appointments are 45 minute sessions but that will depend on the needs of the patient. I include various types of therapy that depend on the person and what he/she responds to.
Out-of-pocket fees and assistance
Initial session: $400 for 45 minutes
Ongoing session: $400 for 45 minutes

I do not take any forms of insurance although you may send my bills to your insurance company for a partial reimbursement. I charge $400 for a 45 minute session.

Dr. Lehman is thoughtful, kind, and truly listens to your concerns. He brings a rare depth of knowledge and approaches every issue from multiple angles. He takes the time to understand the whole person, not just the symptoms, and carefully develops a comprehensive treatment plan. His expertise in both medications and therapy is clear. I feel fortunate to have him as my doctor.

I was taught and supervised by Dr. Lehman for therapy and witnessed multiple group therapies. I've witnessed truly life-changing sessions, in particular one where a suicidal gentleman with nothing to live decided to find a purpose in his life and turn things around (and this lasted long-term despite a single appointment). He has a unique style that you will either like or dislike, and I recommend if you don't feel benefit then it's okay to stop. But for those that do I've seen a life changed, which is more than I can say of many psychiatrists/psychologists I've worked with. I wish you well on your journey for the right therapy.

What an amazing clinician! Dr. Lehman addressed a psychosomatic issue that I had. He used exceptionally skilled technique and his treatment has remained highly effective for me even after I didn't need to see him for additional follow ups. It's clear that he has years of experience and I would certainly recommend.
