Dr. Matthews is awesome! He explained everything I needed to know and explained all the options I had to choose from. He constantly asked if I understood everything and if I had any questions. I was really nervous about my appointment being awkward but he made it not awkward. He made the appointment very comfortable. I would definitely recommend him!

Dr. Matthews was great! He spent a lot of time with me and even did some extra testing, which I was excited about! He listened to all my questions and didn't make me feel stupid, rushed, or like I was being annoying with all my inquiries. That really put me at ease. I definitely felt like he cared about me and my worries, and I wasn't just a number to get in and out of the office. Not common to find a doctor like that.

Dr. Matthews grew up in Sandy and currently resides in Herriman with his wife and four children. He went to medical school at the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Missouri and completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. His clinical interests include all aspects of general obstetrics and gynecology, but especially infertility, robotic surgery, contraception, menstrual irregularities, and abnormal vaginal bleeding.
Dr. Matthews is licensed to practice in the State of Utah. He is board eligible and is a junior fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. His outside interests include spending time with his wife and children, singing and playing music, going to cultural events, and playing sports.

Doctor Matthews was very nice and polite. However, I was waiting in the room for over half and hour, half naked with only a sheet to cover myself. It wasn't all too comfortable considering I was there because I had a very uncomfortable yeast infection. He was very courteous but I didn't feel any connection to him or feel that he was really confident about what he was doing.
