Dr. David W. Murray, MD, FAAD, is a board-certified dermatologist at Jacksonville Beach Dermatology with nearly 4 decades in dermatology and dermatologic surgery. A highly respected specialist, Dr. Murray brings an extensive background in both clinical and military medicine to our practice. He earned his medical degree from the University of Oregon Health Sciences Center, where he also completed foundational research funded by the American Cancer Society. Following his internship at the Naval Hospital in San Diego, he trained as an Undersea Medical Officer, serving with distinction as a Diving Medical Officer in Pearl Harbor and earning the Navy Achievement Medal.
Dr. Murray completed his dermatology residency at the Naval Hospital in San Diego, where he served as Chief Resident. His career includes serving as Head of Dermatology at the Naval Hospital in Millington, TN, and nearly 25 years running a private dermatology practice. In his previous roles, Dr. Murray became known for his skill in treating complex dermatologic conditions and his commitment to patient-centered care.
Dr. Murray is an active Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and has published research in military and civilian dermatology journals. His approach to dermatologic care focuses on combining evidence-based treatment with personalized patient guidance to achieve optimal skin health.
