Dr. Rubin brings a wealth of experience to Circle Care Center, including a Board Certification in Infectious Diseases. Prior to serving as Circle Care Center’s Medical Director since 2016, he was instrumental in starting the New York State Department of Health AIDS-Designated Center at the New York-Presbyterian Queens Hospital. He helped to establish the clinic there while simultaneously running his private practice and has now been working in HIV treatment and prevention for more than 30 years, helping thousands of patients along the way. He received his MD degree from Cornell University Medical College, conducted his residency at Beth Israel Medical Center, and completed a fellowship at New York University Medical Center. Dr. Rubin is an HIV specialist certified by the American Academy of HIV Medicine (AAHIVM). He continues to focus on HIV treatment, prevention, transgender medicine, and general medical care with an emphasis on prevention for the community.
