Dr. David Steiger graduated from Leeds Medical School, United Kingdom, in 1981. After completing 3 years of post graduate training in England, he was a resident and Chief Medical Resident at St. Luke's Hospital in NYC, which was followed by training in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco. During this time, Dr. Steiger participated in basic science research. He was the Director of the ICU at the Hospital for Joint Diseases, NYU Medical Center. He was also an Associate Professor of Medicine at NYU. Currently, Dr. Steiger is the Chief of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine at Mount Sinai Beth Israel in NYC.

Very thoughtful about my recent concerns about my lung after covid and did not want to push more testing than necessary on me. So little is known about the long-term effects but I felt he really advised me to the best of his knowledge, especially being open that we know so little and at this point the best thing to do is keep a careful eye and come back if I feel things are worsening.
