Dr. David Swearingen received his optometry degree from Southern California College of Optometry in 2000. The National Board of Optometry certified him in Treatment and Management of Ocular Disease in 2000. His undergraduate degree, Physical Education/Pre-Physical Therapy, was received from Point Loma Nazarene University in 1993.
Dr. Swearingen established Spectrum Eyecare Optometry, Inc. in 2006. His professional affiliations include the American Optometric Association, the California Optometric Association, the Fellowship of Christian Optometrists, the National Glaucoma Society and the San Gabriel Optometric Society. He is currently board eligible as a Diplomat of the American Board of Optometry.
Three children have blessed his life: Ashley, Cade and Dawson. He has been married to their mother Amy for 13 years. He enjoys baseball, wakeboarding, jet skiing and golf.

I am upset that you only met with my 17 year old son to discuss his vision needs instead of taking a few minutes to talk to me and explain what the finding were. I think that is inexcusable.

This was my first time to Dr. Swearingen, he was personal, informational and went above and beyond to make sure I walked away with the right prescription and fit for my eyes. (I was previously over prescribed)
