Dr. Thomas is a board certified dermatologist practicing in North County for over 21 years. Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Dr. Thomas graduated from The University of California, Berkeley in 1978. He attended medical school back East at The Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda Maryland graduating in 1985. He completed internship at Naval Hospital San Diego in 1986 and graduated from the Naval Aerospace Medical Institute as a Navy flight surgeon in 1987. Dr. Thomas attended The University of California, San Francisco for dermatology residency where he served as Chief resident in 1994. Following that he served 11 years at Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton where he was Chief of the Medical Staff and Director for Medical Services. Dr. Thomas' professional interests include MOHS micrographic surgery, skin cancer, moles, acne, eczema, psoriasis, Botox and fillers. Dr. Thomas is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and past president of the San Diego Society for Dermatologic surgery.

Dr Thomas friendly and professional. He explained what he saw as he conducted the examination and took care of the few potentially significant skin issues immediately as he found them. He explained the importance of early discovery and treatment. After the appointment I was confident I had been given a thorough examination and had no skin cancers.

I was impressed with the knowledge and demeanor of Dr. Thomas. He was efficient, but thorough, and fully explained to me all of his recommendations. He was also obviously up on the most recent literature for treatments, which I appreciate. The office itself was well run and friendly. Very happy I visited this practice.

The general office appearance and décor was neat and clean. I was pleasantly greeted by the reception staff and my wait time was less than 5 minutes.
I was very pleased with Dr. Thomas' knowledge and thorough exam. It was easy to discuss my condition with him and he provided additional information that will help me with self-exams.

I was there early so I did wait about 30 min before being seen and then waiting for more in the room. I was very happy when the assistant came in and let me know I was not forgotten and apologized for the wait. I understand some patients have more questions than others.
The Dr. gave me his full attention when he came in the room and if felt well cared for. They took into consideration the fact that I was paying cash and let me know the cost before so I could stay in budget.

Dr. Thomas solved a skin issue that I have had for nearly 8 years. In the past I have seen 5 different doctors for this condition without any luck in resolving the issue. He is extremely knowledgeable and I will be rescheduling with his office for all future dermatology appointments.

I would highly recommend this office and we intend to use Dr Thomas as our dermatologist even though we live in Seattle most of the time. When we are here in the winter, this will be our doctor for all skin issues.

Dr Thomas spent a lot of time answering all my questions & explaining everything very clearly. The appointment didn't feel rushed like most doctor's appointments. I appreciated the fact that he took the time to make sure he had addressed all my concerns. The office staff is great too! Everyone is friendly.
