A board-certified dermatologist and Virginia native, Dr. Bray received his medical degree (M.D.) from Ponce School of Medicine in Ponce, Puerto Rico and completed his dermatology training at the National Capital Consortium of Walter Reed Army Medical Center and Bethesda Naval Medical Center. He also holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biology and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Spanish from VirginiaTech. Dr. Bray served as a physician in the U.S. Army for 8 years, including overseas tours in South Korea and Iraq. He worked as part of the teaching staff for the dermatology residency programs at Walter Reed and at the San Antonio Military Medical Center. Since leaving the Army in 2009, Dr. Bray has been a dermatologist in private practice.
Dr. Bray is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology and the Washington DC Dermatological Society.
Dr. Bray enjoys practicing all aspects of dermatology, with particular interest in skin cancer detection and treatment, psoriasis, acne, rheumatologic diseases affecting skin,and cosmetic dermatology. He is an avid outdoors enthusiast, traveler, and lover of world foods and languages. I think I have been to every other Dermatologist in Alexandria - and even several in DC. Dr. Bray is hands down the best. He diagnosed something correctly that many others missed and his bedside manner is very open and calm. And, his office waiting area is nice, receptionists much nicer and more friendly than most doc offices. Seems very efficiently run. 5 stars for sure!

When I come for my appointment, Dr. Bray always knows how to treat a patient. I have had acne issues all my life and it gets frustrating but when I come for a visit Dr. Bray always know his information and what to medication to give a patient. Also, all the staff at the office is wonderful from speaking to the front desk staff and medical assistance/staff.

It was my first visit to a dermatologist so I wasn't sure what to expect and I have no other doctor visit to base it off of. But I felt a bit rushed and wasn't sure if he was actually checking for anything. I'd turn for a look and he'd say right away, "yep good there too". I also felt he was looking at me as a young alarmist. Although I try to take the right precautions, I spend a lot of time in the sun for work and my family has history of skin cancer. I want to make a dermatologist visit a part of my annual check ups but I'm not sure I'll be going back to this doctor. I also felt that maybe this office was best for people who want reconstructive remedies such as botox, varicose vein removal, etc.
