I had an emergency eye lid problem. I did not know exactly what it was. After two days of suffering. I went online to Zocdoc.com. Looking for an optometrist who was open on Sunday and was in my Net work insurance plan. When I arrived two patients were ahead of me. Stephen was so polite and tentative to all of us. He knew his job and a incredible people person. I highly recommend them for all eye care needs and concerns.

Dr. David Wasserlauf is no longer at this practice. He sold the practice 3 years ago. The prices are astronomically high. The selection of glasses is a lot less then when Dr. David Wasserlauf had the practice,

The wait was insane

The eye doctor’s office knew how much my insurance covered, but I needed to pay a different rate. If companies are asking for insurance information, clients should not have to do all of the leg work.

Very professional doctor and staff and no hard sell on any services. They gave me multiple frame options and let me have enough time to decide.

The appointment was amazing, I just went for an eye check up and I know I had vision insurance but I didn't know what it was and only had my main medical card. Doc took the time to look up different insurers and found me on one of them, it was a huge help and much appreciated! Great bedside manner.
Verified patient
Was very informative and patient. Answered all my questions and educated me on how much my insurance, prescriptions, etc work. Will be returning next year for my annual exam! Great service.

The wait time was long but that was partially my own fault for showing a little late but once I was seen, it was relatively easy and good. Dr. Wasserlauf speaks in a calm and kind voice and makes something as complex as one’s eyes so easy to understand. And his front desk clerk is so nice and sweet. Overall, a great first experience
Very kind and friendly. My kids see him, too.
Really nice doctor and pleasant visit.
Very knowledgeable and friendly

Doctor was welcoming and friendly. However, the visit felt rushed, especially after I told the doctor that I was just visiting the area for an annual eye exam and wasn't a local. I would appreciate if the exam was more thorough for what I paid for, and that the doctor took his time. The entire visit was just 5-7 minutes.
Dr David was extremely kind and pleasant. He gave me a lot of insights about my eyes. However although I got into the office first, the receptionist showed preference to someone who was of a different race to me, who arrived after me. I did address that with her and she apologized. I'm hoping that she would be better. The man showing me glasses seemed to be in a bit of a rush. So they can be more patient in that area.

Dr. Wasserlauf and his staff were wonderful. Dr. Wasserlauf took the time to explain the results of the photos taken of the eyes and so patient with explaining any of my questions. The gentleman who assisted me with choosing my glasses was very helpful and patient. Would recommend this group very highly.

I'm an MD student and understand that it can be difficult to maintain great bedside manner day after day, but this was an especially impersonal visit. I also didn't feel like I was informed before doing the retinal imaging, but ended up paying for it. When I asked why it was needed, I was told, "to look for diseases--we have to do it." When I asked what kind of diseases, I was told, "we'll look at the pictures and discuss it afterward." Once imaging was done, he pointed to a wall "those are the diseases." The likelihood of me having any of those was slim to none, and I realized he likely just wanted an additional procedure to bill for. Also did not elaborate on anything. I had to "dig" for feedback.
I mainly went to go visit Doctor Wasserlauf because I needed to get my contact prescription. I requested for my eye checkup and my glasses prescription as well, since my insurance covers it. But Doctor Wasserlauf, offered me services that my insurance did not cover. I simply just needed the things I requested for and I just wanted a normal visit. But it was very clear he's main priority is he's business not he's clients. It made me very uncomfortable to be he's patient because he was very pushy for me to purchase he's products, or purchase he's services. He purposely didn't give me my contact prescription because he wanted me come back to him and purchase the contact package from HIM. I went to a different doctor to get my contact prescription which my insurance couldn't pay for because Dr Wasserlaugh already claimed my insurance stating that I received this service from him. I don't even want to bother to call or visit him again for this issue because the whole experience itself was that uncomfortable. I will never visit this office again.
