Dr. David Yao is a caring and compassionate cardiologist practicing in the world famous Texas Medical Center. He studied at The University of Texas in Austin for undergraduate education and graduated with high honors. He obtained his medical degree at Texas Tech University School of Medicine. He completed a residency in Internal Medicine and then continued his training by completing a fellowship in cardiovascular disease both at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.
Dr. David Yao has been in private practice for over 7 years. He has special interests in the diagnosis and treatment of coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, valvular heart disease, and arrhythmias. He has extensive experience in the field of echocardiography and especially in transesophageal echocardiography. He is currently the medical director of echocardiography laboratory at Houston Cardiovascular Associates.
Dr. David Yao is board certified in Cardiovascular Disease, Echocardiography, and Nuclear Cardiology. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a member of American Society of Echocardiography.

This was my first visit with a cardiologist and I believe he is one of the best. Brand new office in a brand new building. He is very thorough and knowledgeable. I believe he is also the chief of sugary. If you’re worried about any heart problems you have Dr. Yao will set your mind at ease. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Yao is great and I was seen in a timely manner. But his office had no idea of my appointment even though Zocdoc send me a confirmation of it. The receptionist says she hates Zocdoc appointments because they never show up in their system.

A little difficult to find, however everyone from the parking lot to inside the building was very helpful. I was greeted by the front office staff and seen within a timely manner. Doctor was nice and listened to my concerns. Prescription was sent to the pharmacy the same day!

Dr. Yao was very open to listening and had a sense of what needed to be done. He is very thorough and caring. I also was fitted the same day with a heart monitor and I was scheduled for other tests in less than a week. I highly would recommend Dr. Yao for cardiac care.

I’m in the industry where I have to work with doctors all the time. Dr. Yao is highly reviewed, which is why I decided to choose him as my cardiologist. I had a really great experience. I haven’t felt like a priority for while even with my PCP like I did with Dr. Yao. If you are looking in this area, I recommend him 110%.
