Dr Cassidy was referred to me by Dr. Alexander Johnson They are both in the same group. I am very very particular about many things and people; and that, of course, applies to my personal doctors. I could not be more pleased and satisfied with the quality of my doctors above. Their education, training, experience, their " bed manners ", how they talk and thoroughly explain to their patients everything they need to know as to their health, treatment, etc, it is really a great peace of mind, and me, as their patient, can truly feel confident in their hands.... On the other hand, and from the doctor's side , their great satisfaction of a job well done! Dennis M. Cassidy, MD, is a board-certified clinical cardiac electrophysiologist with Bayfront Health St. Petersburg Medical Group Cardiology. He specializes in all aspects of the diagnosis and management of patients with electrical abnormalities of the heart.
Dr. Cassidy’s education and early postdoctoral training were in Canada. He received a bachelor’s degree in biology, graduating with honors, from Arcadia University in Wolfville, Nova Scotia, and then earned his medical degree from Memorial University of Newfoundland. He remained at Memorial for an internship in internal medicine before completing his residency in internal medicine at the University of Toronto. He completed his residency in cardiology at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario. Dr. Cassidy was the recipient of a Canadian Heart Foundation research fellowship which allowed him to complete a three-year fellowship in clinical cardiac electrophysiology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He has authored and co-authored several articles in the field of cardiac electrophysiology.
In addition, Dr. Cassidy earned an MBA with a finance concentration from the University of Tampa. His most recent affiliation was with the University of South Florida Morsani School of Medicine, where he directed the inpatient cardiac electrophysiology service at Tampa General Hospital. His passion for teaching was recognized with him being awarded The Guillermo B. Cintron Award for excellence in cardiology teaching.

As a former healthcare administrator. I was incredibly impressed with Dr. Cassidy he came in, he was fully knowledgeable about my care. He is clearly read the records. That my primary care had sent to him and then he insisted on getting other records that my primary care had mentioned. So I could not, I could not write him higher than than enough to attend and I look forward. I dropped my Records Office at his assistant today and I look forward to hearing from you very soon.

Dr. Cassidy is a special doctor and spends a lot of time explaining the situation. I was able to see Dr Cassidy the same day my primary doctor contacted him. (unheard of today). I went in the appt. with much apprehension and left with the all important peace of mind.
