Dr. N talked with me for quite some time (that’s a good thing) and LISTENED to me! He asked if I had anything else to add and didn’t feel like I was rushed at all. He didn’t brush away my questions and made me feel important. He wasn’t frustrated with my complicated history and seems determined to figure it out. He even offered a virtual visit for next time since I live 45 min away from his office. Only downside was that I had to wait a bit to check in.

Dr. Dennis Nguyen received his undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Virginia in 2005 and 2009, respectively. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Georgetown University Hospital in 2012, during which he received special recognition for his teaching accomplishments. He completed his fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Georgetown, as well, during which time he was chief fellow in his final year. Dr. Nguyen is board certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology/hepatology. He is a compassionate provider who is eager to serve the community in which he was raised. He is trilingual, being proficient in both Vietnamese and Spanish. Dr. Nguyen joined Virginia Medical Alliance in 2016.

Dr. Nguyen is very polite, personable, and knowledgeable. He made me feel at ease about the issues I was experiencing. The appointment didn't feel rushed at all, and he took his time to explain things and to listen to my concerns. Highly recommend!
