Dr. Dennis L. Turner is a 1978 graduate of the now Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine which is the college of Podiatric Medicine at Roselind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, North Chicago, Illinois. After graduation he completed a residency in Podiatric Orthopedics at James C. Giuffre Medical Center, Philadelphia.
He is board certified in foot and ankle surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. Dr. Turner is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and a Fellow of American Professional Wound Care Association. Within the field of podiatric medicine and foot and ankle surgery, Dr. Turner has expertise in several arthroscopic and open surgical techniques, minimally invasive procedures for treatment of Morton's
neuroma, EPAT (extracorpeal pulse activation treatment - shock wave therapy) for plantar fasciitis and other inflammatory disorders, Q-clear Laser which is FDA approved for treatment of fungal toenails, and new technologies for pain management including diabetic and peripheral neuropathies.
Dr. Turner is chief of the podiatry section of the department of surgery at Overlook Medical Center. Being certified in wound care, Dr. Turner has shown an expertise in the extensive management and treatment of diabetic and vascular wounds of the lower extremity. He is a staff podiatrist at the Wound Healing Center located in the MAC II building adjacent to Overlook Medical Center.
Dr. Turner is very passionate in the care of his patients. He enjoys the vast diversity of his patient population being able to treat children, adolescents, young adults and the geriatric population. Lecturing on many sports medicine topics has made him very dedicated to the active child and adult.
