What makes you passionate about being a healthcare provider?
I enjoy helping people achieve their optimal health and working with them as a team. I believe everyone has the ability to feel their best in mind, spirit, and physical body with the proper coaching and treatment approach. I hold a Master's in Nursing from Azusa Pacific University, which has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to support patients effectively.
In your opinion, what should be the role of a primary care provider for a patient, taking into account both physical health and behavioral health needs?
The PCP is a guide and educator for the patient. We can make recommendations and prescribe treatments, but the patient is the leader, and shared decision-making is crucial for an effective treatment plan. I use motivational interviewing strategies to help patients take control of their health and move toward becoming the best version of themselves.
Tell us a little bit about yourself. What do you like to do in your spare time?
I have an 11-year-old daughter, a husband, and 2 cats. I enjoy hiking and being outside. I do Pilates and yoga several days per week.
