She is a graduate of Wayne State University School of Medicine and holds a Master of Science in medical research. As a leader in her field, Dr. Schlachter is Director of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Mercy Health System, Toledo, OH.
In addition to authoring numerous articles, abstracts and book chapters, Dr. Schlachter is on staff at several accredited hospitals throughout Mid and Southeast Michigan and Ohio. She specializes in all areas of reconstructive, cosmetic eyelid and facial surgery, as well as tear duct surgery and orbital surgery, utilizing the most advanced techniques and latest technology available.
