About Dr. Dipak Patel

Dipak Patel, O.D. received his Doctor of Optometry from the Southern College of Optometry in 2000 and earned his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the University of Houston. He graduated with several honors and awards and is a member of various optometric and pharmaceutical organizations. Dr. Patel is a Therapeutic Optometrist and an Optometric Glaucoma Specialist with diversified experience, including low vision, pediatrics, geriatrics, vision therapy, and contact lenses. After practicing pharmacy for several years, Dr. Patel realized he wanted to be more involved with patient care. He then took the opportunity to attend optometry school, which opened doors to a career allowing him to work closely with patients and also become an entrepreneur. Dr. Patel enjoys helping his patients see and experience their world in the best way possible through better vision. When he is not treating patients, Dr. Patel likes to travel and experience new things. In his free time at home, he often spends time with his family, enjoys movies, running outdoors, and reading.

Dr. Patel earned my respect from the moment I met him. He listens and that speaks volumes. We had been going to this place for a long time before he arrived and when he took over he saw my daughter and found a very serious condition with her. She has issues with her optic nerve and had to see a specialist. I am diabetic and he is on top of it. I love his wife too. I am always welcomed with a smile. I really like coming here.

Since my first office visit, five or so years ago, I knew that I wouldn't go anywhere else for my eye care but El Paso Eye Care (EPEC). The doctors and staff are caring and patient. The office is extremely clean, and they take every and extra precautions to have proper social distancing for patient and staff. I also love their selection of frames. I do have one issue with the online listing for EPEC hours of operation. Online it lists the office as open on Monday. Please update ASAP this so that your patients aren't taking a trip to the office on a Monday (when EPEC is closed) because of the misleading information online.
The service provided when I attended my appointment was phenomenal. Everyone was so nice and genuine even when it came to picking out my eyewear. The gentleman that helped me was very nice and informative. One thing that could have been different was Dr didn’t really explain my prescription or why I needed the prescription. The gentleman that helped me with my eyewear explained very well the benefit of my prescription.
Professional and courteous staff Ms. Rena is not only one of the best customer support professionals ever, she is always a joy to see when we visit EP Eye Care. Dr. Patel truly cares about his patients and ensures he is able to everything possible to meet the health needs of his patients
