Donald “Donnie” Mason is a certified Physician Assistant who has more than 15 years of experience. Donnie served 25 years in the United States Air Force where he completed the Interservice Physician Assistant Program (IPAP) in 2008. As a military PA, he worked in family medicine, emergency medicine, and in academics. During his military service Donnie spent time in Nebraska, Korea, Hawaii, Germany, Washington, Texas, Maryland, Nevada, Florida, Curacao, Laos, Vietnam, and the Middle East. After retiring from the Air Force in 2018 he continued to work in family medicine and urgent care. He moved to Arizona in June 2022 and is an active member of the Arizona State Association of Physician Assistants, the Association of PA’s in Psychiatry, and the American Academy of Physician Assistants. In 2023 he completed a Doctor of Medical Science (DMSc) in Psychiatry through Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions. Donnie has also obtained the Certificate of Added Qualification (CAQ) in Psychiatry through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). The CAQ in Psychiatry certification requires at least 2000 hours of clinic practice in psychiatry and successfully passing a certification examination. Donnie continues to have a passion for treating patients who suffer from mental illness and provides a patient centered approach in reaching their treatment goals. During his free time, Donnie likes to travel, read, watch movies and spend time with his family and pets.
