She took time to listen which was very nice but she has a very dated method and her voicemail is always full so its very hard getting in touch with her.
Straight and to the point. She listens to what you have to say, makes recommendations, and will work with you to find the right course of action for whatever it is that's bothering you.

She seemed a bit irritated as I walked in, but she was very kind and attentive when I discussed my issues and concerns.
She is great . Treat like son . I Love her ...............................
she listened and gave her opinion and made herself well understood
She knew what she was talking about; a very intelligent woman.
Very unprofessional and disorganized, would not recommend it.
She was very professional and easy to talk with.
She was not very helpful and judgemental. She forgot what we spoke about every meaning. She was also demeaning. If you have thick skin which I do (I saw her 3 times) it's not a big deal but she called me scolding me as to why I did not make another appointment.

Well documented.

Don’t waste your time
I didn’t like it. She refused to refill my Rx that I’ve been taking for nearly 5 years unless I would commit to seeing her EVERY WEEK instead of once a month. I’ll never be visiting her again.
Never again
First thing I noticed was the mess in her office, paper on the floor, and she couldn’t find a “piece” of paper to write down. I went with my wife, but with different problems, and she didn’t give us our own appointment. There was a moment that I thought she was sleeping. And prescribed my wife a medication to sleep, even though my wife doesn’t have problems to sleep, and didn’t want to take this kind of medication. Was a waste of money.

Great experience

Absolutely awful. I was running 5 min late and she threatened to call the police if I showed up even though I needed medication. Also asked me if I screamed when I was sexually assaulted. Rude mean and the worst. Don't go
She should have retired many years ago.
Muy bien.
She took time to listen which was very nice but she has a very dated method and her voicemail is always full so its very hard getting in touch with her.
By far the worst "psychiatrist" I've ever seen.
She was by far the most unfriendly, Cold and unapproachable doctor and One of the most unfriendly and just plain old stifling individuals I have ever had the misfortune of coming into contact with. I honestly do not believe that anything above two stars was an actual client of hers and that's being generous. I see that because I truly don't believe that she would ever anything more than that if that's her demeanor with everyone. I've always had great relationships with all my doctors and people in general I'm not putting myself on a pedestal but I'm pretty friendly and go with the flow and don't really judge people that fast if it all, but her overall negative demeanor made me want to leave the moment I walked through her door. I was a few minutes late and it is she made a comment about that on Lee and she doesn't know if he can see me when I wasn't that weird at all and it's the first time meeting her you think that she'd be a little more understanding especially since she didn't have another client coming until later on! Shouldn't be an asked me all these questions and I don't believe she let up her frown once she barely looked at me when we were talking and she was photocopying my information and it was so on personal and uncomfortable. And on top of how just plain rude and uncomfortable she was to be around again telling her the medications that I had been on one of them being around 10 years And she cuts me off mediately and told me that she's not going to prescribe me so-and-so because I didn't start at the age of seven and that only patients who started at age 7 on this medication she would prescribe it to which was by far the stupidest thing I've ever heard a doctor or anyone in general ever say. And she cuts me off immediately and told me that she's not gonna prescribe me any "amphetmines" (adderol is what I've been on for about 10 years now) because I didn't start at the age of seven and that only patients who started at age 7 on this medication she would prescribe it to which was by far the stupidest thing I've ever heard a doctor or anyone in general ever say. I wrote down before hand in the pre-comment section what I was going there for and you think she would have the dignity to call me ahead of time and tell me that traveling all the way there may be a waste because she won't prescribe this medication that I've been on for about 10 years and then I even told her that she could look up in the computer and I'm a record that that's what I'veeen on in that I've been consistent with seeing the doctor every month for this long already that I'm a nurse and a professional when she was making me feel like some dirt bag to be honest for even mentioning what I was taking, which was that and Zoloft which I've been on for 5 yrs. If she was any kind of a decent "psychiatrist" she would certainly not only pass on making any kind of judgment toll comments and gestures toward me but would also know that the world the psychiatry is so diverse and my medication regimen is pretty Considering what's out there now and what people can be on which is why it's prescribed because it helps people and even if her excuse is that she has her own issues she's dealing with in my book it's never an excuse to bring your issues from outside of work into work with you. At that point I told her I was leaving because I needed to now go and find another doctor all over again that could make up for the time she made me lose. Not only do I not recommend her but I want to warn people about wasting your time I'm going to this woman who once again not only completely blew me away with how rude she came off and actually was as well as how uncomfortable I was especially with the fact that she couldn't even pretend to be. And this review is an about the fact that she didn't give me the medication that I went therefore because I could get it from any other doctor and it wasn't even about the medication because had she leaves been friendly and explain to me what her practice is entailed and if that was one of the values she held true to The practicethen I would've had it all respect for it . But she was just cold and had absolutely no bedside manner whatsoever. I think it's important that patients know these things before hand because rather than wasting their time On going to a Doctor who will not respect them and who will likely be very judge mental and not even giving them the medication or treatment they needed that they went there for, when there are so many good doctors out there who not only deserve the patients services but that the patient deserves as far as getting the right treatment and genuinely good and caring doctor. My caution to you use I suggest you find another Dr other than this one - I'm doing you a BIG favor..
Please do not see this doctor..She is extremely unprofessional, likes to eat during sessions, she completely forgot one of our appointments and double booked another, then asked me to come back., but not even a courtesy call to re-schedule (I don't live in nj). I've called several times & never returns phone calls. Last session she scolded me, we got into a screaming match & said I don't care if you come back. Please don't waste your time.
Want a terrible psychiatrist? If so, Dora's for you! She's an ornery old person who listens very little, judges very much, and is barely functional as a human being, let-alone as a doctor of psychiatry.
Dr. Ostrowski is very knowledge and helpful.
0/10. EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL. First of all, her appointments are in her messy appartment. There were papers and journals everywhere and it was very uncomfortable. She ignored many of the things I told her, but I decided to give her a second chance. When I came for my next appointment and rang the door bell she told me that she could not take me because she had another person with her. Words cannot express how upset I am with this psychiatrist. If you want someone who can genuinely come to and trust, I do not recommend her at all
Extremely horrible experience. My brother went in for a consultation and was treated with any lack of respect or care. Her place of practice was messy with paper work all over the floor.
I like her. Down to earth and a good listener
It was my first session with her but she listens very attentively and is not judgement, which is a change compared to other psychiatrists I have encountered. I will continue to see her.
Straight and to the point. She listens to what you have to say, makes recommendations, and will work with you to find the right course of action for whatever it is that's bothering you.
Dr. Ostrowski took the time to listen to me. She recommended psychotherapy first instead of just writing a prescription. She also suggested that if I felt strongly that I needed to be on medicine and couldn't function otherwise she would have started me on a low dose. I decided to wait and see. Very patient and nice. Her "office" is an apartment. It didn't matter to me, but if you're looking for a luxurious and modern place, try a different doc. I was comfortable on her sofa.
I thought the treatment I was provided with by Dora Ostrowski, MD was more than excellent to say the least. She is extremely intelligent and very open minded. Her diagnosis is spot on, as she is someone I defintely recommend if you suffer with bipolar and/or adhd. No wait time at all, I was pleased to have found her, all thanks to zocdoc.
I liked her and will work with her.
She's nice but it's hard to reach her at times.
I would never recommend Dr Ostrowski to anyone. I went in for four consultations. The first she was slightly disorganized and had mismanaged my appointment with another individual's. Then, on the fourth appointment, after I thought we had begun to establish a doctor patient relationship and was beginning to feel more comfortable discussing matters, she told me that I need to "grow up". That my personality was one of a "wilted flower" and that she personally need to give me strong stern advice because "apparently my mother never had" and was not doing a good job. She then followed up by telling me I would probably need more therapy and she was available to meet several times a week. Not only was her responses completely unfounded in any medical research or approach, she was also highly unprofessional and disrespectful. After I called and communicated my complete dissatisfaction, she replied that she apologized for her comments and that, with me being so young, she felt more like I was "a daughter" and should be addressed as such. I would not suggest anyone go to Dr. Ostrowski. After such an experience and a demonstrated complete regard for professionalism, I do not believe she is in a position to help anyone with their mental well-being.
