Dr. Douglas Smith moved to Weston in 2002 from Philadelphia, where he grew up. He practiced for 6 years in Philadelphia, where he acted as Chief of OB/Gyn at Parkview Hospital, as well as the lead physician of the residency program. He moved to Florida to join Dr. Goldberg in practice. They trained together during their residency years at PCOM as well as attended the same medical school. Years later, Dr. Goldberg called on Dr. Smith to join him in Florida and together they built their practice and established themselves in the South Florida healthcare community.
Dr. Smith was the Departmental Chief of Ob/Gyn at Memorial Hospital West from 2008 to 2010, and is currently an assistant professor at Nova Southeastern University. He has been board certified since 1998. Dr. Smith enjoys all outdoor activities as well as good food.
