Doungphon (Dee Dee) Nelson is a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and a member of the American Nurses Association. She received her Master’s of Science degree in Nursing from South University and graduated with honors. She is an Alumni of Armstrong State University where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
She is a native of Savannah, GA where she worked as a registered nurse at Memorial University Medical Center for five years in the pediatric hematology oncology unit. She also worked at Summit Cancer Care of Savannah for two years and was adjunct professor at Savannah Technical College. Her passion of teaching and caring for patients took her traveling across the world where she worked in Oklahoma at Saint Frances Children Hospital, and The Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. Her profession as Family Nurse Practitioner emphasis is to promote optimal family health care maintenance and illness prevention.
Dee Dee’s involvement with wellness and healthcare background brings a warm, nurturing and caring approach to helping the community of Savannah reach their healthcare goals. She is excited to be home in Savannah to provide the community with the highest level of healthcare.
