More about Dr. Duane Gels, MD
For over 20 years, Dr. Duane Gels has had an outstanding reputation for listening and caring for patients and their families. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame, and his medical degree from Northwestern University in Chicago. After additional academic training at Brown and George Washington Universities, he continues to teach at Johns Hopkins Asthma and Allergy Center. He is Board Certified in Allergy and Immunology, and a Fellow of the American Academy and American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, and is a Fellow of the American Association of Certified Allergists. Warm, understanding, and thorough, he is devoted to improving his patients’ quality of life by treating (and often eliminating) their underlying allergies at a minimum of discomfort and financial expense. Dr. Gels believes there is no substitute for time listening to the patient. He resides in Annapolis with his wife and two young children, and volunteers part-time in an inner-city clinic.
