I am new to Arizona and relied on Zoc Doc to locate me a Dr... I am still raving about Dr Wooten.. He is the best Dr. I have ever met and I am flying my other son from California in to see him. If he wasn't a pediatrician I would go to him myself!!!!! Amazing Dr... Who absolutely loves what he does. 5 stars are not enough for this DR....He is a PERFECT 10!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you.....:

The doctor was caught in traffic, however he was more than worth the hourlong wait. My 8 year old absolutely loved him. I loved that he spoke with my son about health and general life.

Dr. Wooten is a recognized leader in pediatric medicine. A graduate of Northwestern University and the University of Arizona School of Medicine, Dr. Wooten is a published columnist, a medical spokesperson for NBC12 News, Mead Johnson’s ENFAMIL and has received two NAACP Image Awards for Medicine.
A native of Phoenix, Dr. Wooten graduated from Northwestern University in 3 years. He majored in Chemical Engineering with a minor in Bio-medical engineering. At 23, when he graduated with his medical doctorate, Dr. Wooten immediately followed his calling into pediatrics. His residency at Phoenix Hospital’s Affiliated Pediatric Program followed his internship. A fellowship at St. Josephs Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix with the Pediatric Critical Care Program preceded the opening of Rainbow Pediatrics in 1988.
Married with two children, Dr. Wooten is an active member of his community, church, and to this day is still affectionately known as “ Doctor Woo-Woo” by his patients.

Dr. Wooten definitely knows his profession, appearing well-versed in all aspects of pediatric care. However, during the consultation, he seemed to have a slight air of pompousness and was very proud of the list of clients he has from the upper echelon of society. This turned me off, but I returned for a second visit at the downtown location, taking my son for his first checkup, only to get greeted by an incredibly full waiting room and a ridiculously long wait. The next visit at the Chandler was a similar experience, but I let Dr. Wooten perform my son's circumcision and opted to go in search of a new pediatrician.
