It was the 1st visit for my 4 year old and I was very pleased with the professionalism showed by the entire staff. Everyone was very informative and made things very easy and fun for my daughter aside from her 3 vaccine shots she had a wonderful experience.

Dyan Hes, M.D., completed her undergraduate studies at The Johns Hopkins University, in Baltimore, Maryland, where she obtained a B.A. in Public Health. She attended and completed medical school at the American Program of the Sackler School of Medicine, University of Tel Aviv, Israel.
Dr. Hes completed her residency in Social Pediatrics at the Albert Einstein School of Medicine, Montefiore Medical Center, Bronx, New York. In this unique program, she was able to combine her love of pediatrics with her passion for public health. As a resident, Dr. Hes researched obesity among children and adolescents long before the epidemic became the focus of worldwide attention.
After completing her residency, Dr. Hes worked in private practice medicine for two years and was on staff at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. She then joined the Pediatric Emergency Medicine staff at New York Methodist Hospital and, soon after, became a full time member of the pediatric faculty. She currently serves as Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the Weill Medical College of Cornell University, New York.
Prior to founding Gramercy Pediatrics, Dr. Hes maintained a large primary care practice within Park Slope Pediatrics in Brooklyn for ten years. In addition, she developed and continues to serve as Director of the Pediatric Weight Management Program at New York Methodist Hospital. In conjunction with the Park Slope YMCA, Dr. Hes created the Be Fit program for overweight children. Be Fit has served as a successful model of collaboration between hospitals and community centers. Dr. Hes also coordinates the After Hours Pediatric Clinic at New York Methodist Hospital.
An active advocate for pediatric and adolescent nutrition and weight management, Dr. Hes was honored by Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz for her efforts to combat obesity among Brooklyn youth. In 2006, she served as an Expert Witness at the NYC Department of Health Hearing to Ban Trans Fat in Restaurant Food. Currently, Dr. Hes is serving on a panel of national experts of the Obesity Society to develop a certification exam in Obesity Medicine. Dr. Hes was named one of New York’s Top Doctors of 2011 by Castle and Connolly.
Dr. Hes is originally from Long Island, New York. She now resides in downtown Manhattan with her husband and two young children. Dr. Hes is fluent in both Hebrew and Spanish.

I took my daughter to Dr. Hes, because she needed a nutritionist. Dr. Hes discussed the details of my daughter's needs both with me and her. She also gave ua vwry conxrete examples of things we could do to help my daughter.
At the end, my daughter felt empowered to try to make some changes in her diet.

It's obvious right away that Dr. Hes is an excellent doctor. Totally thorough, totally professional. My only concern, and it's a minor one, is that she doesn't have a softer touch with the babies themselves. She doesn't take the time to coochey-coo with the babies very much - which sounds silly, but can really put the baby at ease and make the whole visit more relaxing. She is excellent in every other way, however.
