This doc knows his stuff! I moved here 2 years ago and have only dealt with the worst of the worst when it comes to healthcare. Not only was he great, he’s on point! Edgar Ureno-Garcia, MD, initially was pursuing a career in molecular biology, but quickly realized his desire to teach and care for as many people from all walks of life was far greater than his desire to work in a laboratory. He dedicates his passion in the field of Family Medicine and advocating for his patients. Dr. Ureno-Garcia believes teaching his patients along their health journey is important for their overall treatment.
Dr. Ureno-Garcia is ready to work together with patients to create individualized, effective treatment plans so they may live longer, healthier lives. Being a Family Medicine physician, he likes to get to know each of his patients better and take care of them for life.
Outside of medicine, he enjoys spending time traveling to and exploring National Parks with his partner. Growing up he played several sports and continues to enjoy basketball, golf and tennis.

Im so pleased with my visit with Dr. Ureno that I switch my provider from Hoag to Memorial Care & made him my primary doctor. Great listener, explains everything thoroughly and easily addresses any concerns you may have. I’m so glad I found a good doctor that I can trust and feel comfortable with. Highly recommend.
