Dr. Edith Hergan graduated from the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, with a Bachelor in Science degree, cum laude, in biology. She completed a Master of Science degree in Cardiac Physiology and an MD degree from The Chicago Medical School/University of Health Sciences, Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Hergan completed her internship at the Michael Reese Hospital and her anesthesiology residency at University of Illinois – Humana Hospital in Chicago, IL. She completed a fellowship in Obstetric Anesthesia at the University of Illinois – Humana Hospital. During her years of practice, Dr. Hergan has received numerous academic and clinical honors that include serving as an Assistant Clinical Professor at both the University of Illinois and Medical Colleges of Wisconsin. She has also served as Chief and Medical Director of Anesthesia and Preoperative Medical and Pain Management at University of Illinois Hospitals and Medical Colleges of Wisconsin. Dr. Hergan devotes her full-time practice to all aspects of Addiction Medicine at Connecticut Addiction Medicine.
