I SPECIALIZE IN SUPPORTING PHYSICIANS, NURSES AND PSYCHOTHERAPISTS , PROVIDING INDIVIDUAL CONSULTATIONS WHERE PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL ISSUES are discussed in a confidential, compassionate way. As a clinician like you, I share your experiences and understand the responsibilities and stresses of medical and mental health practitioners.
I obtained my medical degree from the University of Paris and practiced mind/body medicine and psychotherapy in Grenoble, France. I moved to the USA in 1983 and completed a Family Practice Internship at the University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester, MA and a residency in psychiatry at the San Mateo General Hospital, San Mateo, CA. In 1989 I opened my private practice devoted to the care of patients with complex medical and psychiatric diagnoses in Sebastopol, CA.
I founded and was the medical director of the Behavioral Medicine Center in Sebastopol, which provided an innovative, mindfulness-based Pain Management Program for patients with chronic pain. I have worked at Sonoma County Psychiatric Emergency Services, had a general psychiatry practice, was a consulting psychiatrist for the Sonoma County HIV services and the non-profit West County Health Centers in Sebastopol, CA.
I have been interested in taking care of the caregivers for a long time and offer Physician Wellbeing Workshops grounded in my experience as a clinician and meditation practitioner.
I have practiced Zen Buddhism since 1981 and teach meditation at the Stone Creek Zen Center, Graton, CA
