About Dr. Ehab Abdelmalek

*Please note for Dr. Abdelmalek, the delivery hospital is Alexandra Cohen Hospital for Women & Newborns at 1283 York Avenue. Dr. Abdelmalek will only see patients who are at a minimum of 7 weeks into their pregnancy and will reschedule any patient if applicable.* Dr. Ehab Abdelmalek is a board-certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist with more than 15 years of clinical experience. He received his medical degree from Ain Shams University in Cairo, Egypt. He completed his residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, after which he joined the Downstate faculty as a Clinical Assistant Professor, serving a community in need of healthcare resources. While there, Dr. Abdelmalek was involved in research to help improve conditions for his patients. His dedication led to his promotion as Director of Labor & Delivery where he oversaw multiple quality improvement and patient safety initiatives. He was also responsible in achieving Baby-Friendly accreditation for the facility. Dr. Abdelmalek has received multiple awards for excellence in clinical care as well as the education of both medical students and resident physicians. He has a strong commitment towards improving women’s health. His areas of focus include full spectrum obstetrical care, health maintenance/preventive care, cervical dysplasia, abnormal uterine bleeding, sexually transmitted infections, complex contraception and gynecologic surgery.
