In 1989, Beth Hinkelman, an RN, believed that her career would be better served educating women on health problem prevention and assisting in development and maintaining better health habits. In order to accomplish this she entered the nurse practitioner program in Women’s Health at Emory University’s Regional Training Center in Atlanta. She has worked continuously in women’s care for the past 25 years.
She is board certified by the National Certification Corporation for Gynecologic Nursing Specialties. She is further certified in both Women's Health and as a Menopausal Clinician. Additionally she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Central Florida and a Master’s in Maternal and Child Health from the University of South Florida.
Beth has served as a preceptor for nurse practitioner students during their clinical rotation and has lectured nationally to the Nurse Practitioner Association for Continuing Education of Advanced Practice Clinicians on menopausal management.
Professional organizations include: Educational Affiliate of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists; Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses; National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Reproductive Health; North American Menopause Society.
Beth is certified to give complete non-surgical gynecologic care, collaborating with the physicians of Associates in Gynecology and Obstetrics for problems beyond her scope. She provides sensitive and personal gynecologic care to women with everyday health care needs, concentrating on prevention and routine health maintenance. Her care includes the following services: annual female examinations, gynecological services for adolescents and adults, family planning and contraceptive management, conventional and complementary hormonal therapy for premenopausal and postmenopausal women, infertility management, sexually transmitted infection management, PMS counseling and preconceptual health counseling.
