Dr Newsom is an amazing doctor. She offered counseling for what I was going to have done and helped me realize that there was a better choice. She is extremely compassionate.
Additionally, the service she performed was completely painless. she offered medication pre-op and it worked like a charm.

Dr. Newsom grew up in Southlake, Texas. She received her bachelor's degree from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. She then returned to Texas to attend UT Southwestern Medical School and had the wonderful opportunity to stay and continue her training for residency at Parkland Hospital, one of the busiest obstetrical units in the US.
She is board eligible for the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is a member of the Texas Medical Association, American Medical Association, and a Junior Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Newsom loves caring for women through all of the stages of womanhood. "There is no doctor who is as intimately involved with your life as your OBGYN, whether you are seeing her for an annual exam and birth control, pregnancy and the amazing life event of having a baby, or for assistance through the menopausal transition. The long lasting relationships we have with our patients are why I chose this field, and I am so excited for the privilege to care for the women of Dallas."
Dr. Newsom's services include routine gynecological care including well woman visits, in office surgeries, minimally invasive surgery, routine obstetrics as well as VBACs, twins, and high risk pregnancies. Her cesarean rate is well below the national average, currently at 16% overall and 0% for low risk pregnancies.

Dr. Newsom was professional and adequate in her service. However, I cannot recommend her due to the incompetency of the office staff and her assistant. Her office closes and cannot be reached on random days of the week that they say that are open. I have been calling and trying to get my prescription filled as well as the results of my tests for over a month without any response. It is a shame that a good doctor cannot be recommended due to the staff surrounding her. I will not return.

The front office is a little less-than-friendly, which made me a bit uncomfortable at the beginning. However, the nurse who brought me back to the room was very sweet and friendly.
All of my unease left when Dr. Newsom walked in the door. She's so personable — we had a great conversation. She talked to me about my medical history without seeming like it was just routine or business. She made me feel like I would find out any results quickly and with details. Every other doctor I've been to has been so vague about my results, and Dr. Newsom seemed to understand this. She's a modern doctor who genuinely cares about her patients and treats them like people and not just work. Also, I came in at 4:30 and she didn't try to rush anything at all.

This was my first time using Dr. Newsom's office, and it was a positive experience all the way around. The office staff was friendly and helpful, and Dr. Newsom was approachable and thorough. Dr. Newsom is very kind, friendly and professional. She takes time to listen to your concerns and to explain any information needed. I went for an annual check up, and everything went perfect. The staff is also very nice and friendly. The waiting time was only for about two minutes!! I will definitely be back again. I highly recommend Dr. Newsom.

The staff was courteous from the moment I walked off the elevator. Dr. Newsom was easy to talk to very attentive and a bonus she knew my previous obgyn. I felt comfortable and confident with the advice she offered and treatment plans for family planning. This was my first visit with Dr. Newsom and I have to say she is an absolute doll. I had some health issues and the doctor and her entire staff have been extremely thorough and very kind through the whole process. When arriving to see Dr. Newson, I've never had to wait more than 10 min, am always greeted by her wonderful nurse, Ashley, and am promptly seen by the doctor, herself. Her bedside manner is rare for this city and she doesn't rush during the visit. Her intellect is outstanding and I feel more than confident putting my healthcare in her hands. I am so thankful to have found her!

My experience with Dr. Newsom has been amazing. She gets to know her patients on a personal level and truly cares about. I felt so comfortable asking her all the awkward questions. I had a great labor experience knowing I was in such good hands. I have already recommended Dr. Newsom to multiple friends.

Since it was my first pregnancy I did not know what to expect. Dr Newsome made me feel very comfortable and was very knoledgeable. If I didnt had questions she would always make sure to keep me inform of what to expect. I can say throughout my entire pregnancy Dr. Newsome was amazing.
