Dr. Stendig, Therapeutic Optometrist, Vision Rehab Diplomate by the American Board of Disability Analysts, and National Eye Research Contact Lens Specialist, recieved his Doctor of Optometry from the Southern College of Optometry where he graduated on the Dean's List in 1973.
A charter member of the Contact Lens Section of American Optometric Association, Dr. Stendig was a clincial investigator for the research & development team evaluating soft and gas permeable contact lens technologies. He passed National Boards to become a Therapeutic Optometrist in 1993, and in 1998 was credentialed as a Vision Rehab Diplomate by the American Board of Disability Analysts. Dr. Stendig is a past President of the North Texas Optometric Society, a past Lion's Club President, a past District Chairman of the Boys Scouts of America, and in 1978 was awarded the National George Washington Freedom Foundation Service Award.
