I am a second generation Phoenix native, both my parents having lived in Phoenix their entire lives. I went to University of Arizona graduating Magna Cum Laude and with honors in 1998 with a degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology. I spent undergraduate and the two following years working in clinical research trials of skin cancer and smoking cessation research. I have wanted to be a physician since childhood and was proud to be accepted to the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentisry in Rochester, New York in 2000. I graduated in 2004 and went on to Family Medicine Residency at the University of Arizona. I am board certified in Family Medicine since 2007. We moved back to Phoenix in 2007 and I started working at Renaissance In Maricopa.
I am an active member of Arizona Academy of Family Physicians and am a community physician through Banner Desert.
I was fortunate in my medical education to be trained in the patient center approach since Medical school at the University of Rochester and continuing at the University of Arizona Family Medicine Residency. I use empathy and knowledge of medicine to educate patients and discuss the options. Ultimately it is your body and it is important that you are a part of the decision making process. I chose to work at Renaissance because they share this philosophy. I believe communication is the key.
