Hello, My Name is Dr. Emil Soorani.
I have been in private practice in West Los Angeles for over 30 years. I find great fulfillment in teaching new UCLA doctors compassionate care and am part of UCLA's Anxiety Disorder's Clinic. I bring this compassionate care to my patients. I assist individuals in uncovering issues so they can return optimal health. I am experienced in treating patients with complex psychiatric/medical, pain disorders and dementias. I also offer great experience in treating patients with neurological disorders like Parkinson's Disease & various dementias including TBI. By arrangement, I can provide private house calls (Concierge Medical Care).
My main specialty is psychopharmacology. I specialize in Mood (Depression/Bi-polar), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Anxiety, PTSD, as well as psychiatric patients with Complex Medical Issues. I treat teenagers, young adults, and geriatric patients. I am Medical Director for Westside Neurotherapeutics for DTMS (Deep Brain Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation).
My approach is a compassionate and mindful approach to medicine. People need to feel comfortable and cared for in the process of medical and psychiatric treatment. I often combine meditative technique with exercise and stress reduction as part of my patient's medical psychiatric treatment. This is very important.
NOTE: Dr. Soorani does perform home visits & concierge medicine under certain circumstances, but does not post these hours online. If you are interested in an evaluation in your own home, please contact Dr. Soorani directly.

Dr. Soorani is worth the wait. I did wait over 30 minutes at times, but its just because he really spends quality time with his patients and he knows what he's doing.
Ive had anxiety issues for years and they came flying back and had their way with me until Dr. S came in and helped. I cant say how much i recommend Dr. S. He's great at what he does. He's made me feel my old self again and even better (no dips!).
I cant even say how much time he spent w me on my first appointment bc i woudlnt want everyone to expect it or be dissappointed if he didnt, but he just loves what he does and has sincere compassion for his patients.
I'm so greatful for Dr. Soorani.

"I was a pharmaceutical rep in Santa Monica and had cataclysmic industrial accident on the job. I was impaled and the emergency room left gauze and sutures in my wound that ultimately turned into a life threatening sepsis a number of weeks later. I did not have a physician and Dr. Soorani came to my aid. In half an hour, I had five physicians, all who knew him help me in the hospital. Dr. Soorani is really responsible for saving my life and is an expert in complex cases. I can't say enough good things about this physician. They don't make doctors like him anymore. He is a very gifted expert in his field. Any patient would be lucky to have his guidance.
