Dr. Jordan was great. She was very thorough and was able to keep my 4 year old son happy and calm during his eye exam. She was very friendly, knowledgable and to the point. The rest of the staff was fine. The office was lacking in ambiance and needs updating but overall the visit was good and I would go back to see Dr. Jordan again.

The front desk / assistants were unprofessional and basically forced me to sign for a medical procedure without me being able to talk to the doctor first. The wait was extremely long, I ended up having to be at the office for 3+ hours. Dr. Jordan was nice enough, but the assistants are not worth the trouble. Will not be going back.

Dr. Jordan was super nice and easy to talk to. She was thorough in explaining her thought processes behind what to with my eyes, and was helpful in discussing my viability for LASIK and what I would need to do to be able to do it. She showed me imaging of my eyes and explained their health in detail - that was really nice.
The other reviews were very correct, however, in regards to the office staff. They are the definition of sullen teens; even though they're adults. It was super awkward talking to them, it was really clear they had no interest in dealing with you, and didn't seem to have a super great knowledge of how to do the paperwork/payment/etc.
The front desk woman that did the initial exam stuff (eye puffer, etc) had no interest in explaining to me what was going on (people generally warn you about the eye puffer, you know?) and was really unhelpful in guiding me on the one imaging machine I'd never used before. She also was really weird about the basic eye exam, like she didn't believe that I couldn't see the letters until it was the one giant one on the screen. Not like, "wow haha" disbelief, but almost like I was making it up?
Luckily, I've had super terrible vision for years and know what's going on in an eye exam but it must be terribly confusing/offputting to those who maybe don't go often.

Emily Jordan was great. Her receptionists staff was sleazy. Beware of hidden costs for procedures they promote on paper for one price then charge you double that when checking out. Receptionists were also rude and blatantly disinterested when I inquired about language on paperwork, costs, and insurance coverage since the wording was misleading.

Had an excellent time at an appointment I never look forward to. I don't like things touching my eyes so I dread going to the optometrist. I made the appointment for the morning and was seen right away after I finished the new patient paperwork. Both the technician and the OD herself were professional and got me talked me through the tests I frankly don't like getting done. I will be coming to Dr. Emily Jordan for as long as I'm in Austin!

The front desk staff could be better. One of the staff was giving me billing information by talking to me from her seat behind the desk while I was in a chair across from her in the waiting area. Fortunately, their wasn't anyone in there at the time but I think it's a bit more conscientious of patient privacy and just good service to maybe call me up to speak with me. However, Dr. Emily Jordan was great and got me out quickly so I could get back to work!

I am not sure what happened. I was double booked for an appointment even though, they rescheduled the appointment for 12:30, when I requested 11 am. Either way I waited for almost two hours before I was seen. I got to the mall at 12:20 and left close to 4 after I ordered my glasses, which I picked while waiting for 2 to roll around. If you make an appointment you should call and confirm with the actually office, that takes the point out of this program I realize but, you know what sucks even more, waiting for 2 hours for an eye exam.

Dr. Jordan was great! I was seen immediately and she was very thorough with all of her examinations. She was very pleasant to work with and she also walked me through her thought process in assigning my prescription. I highly recommend!
