Dr. Emily Peterson joined Nevada Pediatric Specialists in July of 2012. She received a Bachelor of Science in Zoology from Weber State University in Utah and went on to earn her medical degree from Touro University of Osteopathic Medicine in Henderson, Nevada. She completed her pediatric residency training at the University Of Nevada School Of Medicine in Las Vegas. She has received the Resident Class Top Cumulative Scorer Award for Module Exams and was the American Academy of Pediatrics Program Delegate and recipient of the National Conference Travel Grant. Dr. Peterson is passionate about making a difference in children's lives by providing quality healthcare and building strong relationships with patients and their families. She is an accomplished teacher and speaker and presented to both residents and medical students on pediatric topics such as bullying and sleep disordered breathing in children. Dr. Peterson is certified in both Neonatal and Pediatric Advanced Life Support and resuscitation. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Osteopathic Association and the Nevada Osteopathic Association.
