Dr. Eric T. Brooker was born and raised in Las Vegas. He graduated from Bishop Gorman High School and received a combined academic and athletic scholarship to play soccer at Oregon State University. After suffering a leg injury during a game, Eric transferred to the University of Nevada, Reno, where he graduated with honors in Health Care Sciences. He then pursued his passion for vision at Marshall B. Ketchum University, earning his Doctor of Optometry degree with honors at the top of his class.
Dr. Brooker has focused his career and studies on LASIK, ocular disease, dry eyes, and specialty contact lenses. He has managed hundreds of patients before and after LASIK surgery to correct their vision. Dr. Brooker has also traveled worldwide conducting research and teaching novel techniques for refractive and corneal surgery in cities such as Paris, Tokyo, Montreal, Sydney, Perth, London, Milan, Seoul, Auckland, Dubai, Kansas City, Phoenix, Memphis, Irvine, Argentina, Budapest, Austria, and Mexico City. As an expert in laser vision correction, Dr. Brooker lectures to his peers on advances in technology.
After several years providing patient care, research, and training, Dr. Brooker founded the Advanced Vision Institute, offering patients the latest technologies in ocular science. Advantage Family Optical, a subsidiary located on the premises, caters to the entire family with the latest in fashion eyewear.
