Dr Rothchild's assistant Gia was very thorough and took me through my symptoms, possible causes and solutions. She gave me some samples. I then met with Dr R. He was also thorough and very professional. He examined me and took me through what I had to do re: medication. I will go back for a follow up in 10 days.

Rothchild, MD., is a board certified ophthalmologist who specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of eye diseases. He has special interest in laser eye surgery, corneal and refractive surgery, and advanced cataract surgery.
Dr. Rothchild received the Doctor of Medicine degree from New York Medical College; he did his internship at UCLA's St. Mary's Medical Center, and his residency at Cornell/North Shore University Hospital in New York. He also completed an externship in cataract and corneal surgery at Moorfield's Eye Hospital in London, England.
What distinguishes Dr. Rothchild from other doctors performing refractive surgery is his completion of a 13-month corneal and refractive surgery fellowship at Ohio State University. This training is far above and beyond that of most ophthalmologists performing Refractive Surgery.
In addition, he has conducted numerous research projects at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel and the Sloan Kettering Institute in New York. He has trained hundreds of surgeons in all the techniques of refractive and cataract surgery. Dr. Rothchild has been guest speaker at national and international conferences, and has written insightful articles on the changing technology of ophthalmology.
Dr. Rothchild has developed numerous instruments used by ophthalmologists: The Rothchild Foldable Lens Forceps to place the implant during cataract surgery, the Rothchild RK Instrumentation System, the Rothchild Micrometer Diamond Knife, the Rothchild PRK Spatula for the Excimer Laser procedure, the Rothchild LASIK Spatula and the Rothchild LASIK Enhancement Spatula.
