Dr. Thomas seemed like a fine doctor, but I could not get passed the atmosphere of the office. It felt dirty in the facility. While in the waiting room, I heard conversations about smoking opiates (among many other loud uncomfortable discussions), and I felt as though I had mistakenly gone to a free clinic.
When I was called in (by a very nice receptionist), they proceeded to draw my blood and take a urine sample. I was here to check out a sinus/ear infection and I was very confused by this. I asked the practitioner and she couldn't give me any answers, just told me to ask the doctor later.
I don't like when procedures are done to me and I don't know why. I feel I should have been informed as to what was going on before a needle was stuck in my arm, especially when I was directly asking questions about it as well. In addition, the room felt dirty, maybe old, maybe under-funded? I would not have wanted to undress in there for any examinations.
Like I said, the doctor was totally fine and actually quite nice. He didn't seem to match the atmosphere. I am hesitant to return. I am supposed to go back to check up on the results of my blood test, but I would much rather just discuss it on the phone and avoid the actual facility.
