Graduated 2007 from Nova Southeastern University with a Bachelor in Vision Science and Doctor of Optometry degree. Dr. Herrera was granted the "Chancellor Scholarship" every year.
During her fourth year, she was the recipient of the "Alcon Glaucoma Service Award of Excellence" and the "Aran Eye Associates Excellence in Ocular Disease Award".
Her clinical rotations included ocular disease, specialty contact lenses and pediatrics.
