He holds additional board certification in Sports Medicine and Pain Medicine, and has additional expertise in Electrodiagnosis (EMG/NCV). He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist(CSCS) and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He is an active member of the Spine Intervention Society, North American Spine Society and the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Dr. Cheng currently serves as the vice president of the California Society of Industrial Medicine and Surgery (CSIMS).
