Dr Ernesto Cardenas was born in Colombia and raised in South Florida. He graduated with honors from Florida State University and from Ponce School of Medicine. He commissioned as an officer in the United States Army during medical school in pursuit of a lifelong dream of serving his country.
Today, Dr Cardenas is a proud member of Bayshore Womens Healthcare alongside partners that he has known for over a decade. Dr Cardenas cherishes the special relationship that he has with his patients and always strives to surpass their expectations. He believes his role as a physician is to educate his patients on their options and to support them throughout their treatment.
Dr Cardenas is happily married to Dr Leslie Cardenas and the proud parent of two wonderful boys, Gael and Joaquin. In his off time, he enjoys spending time with his family and participating in sports and various motorsports.

I have been a patient of Dr. Cardenas for a few years now and I can confirm that he is a great doctor. He's great at taking his time to explain anything and actually calls after your appointment and gives you an opportunity to ask further questions if necessary. I'm also a fan of the staff, they are always friendly and accommodating to my schedule. I wouldn't hesitate making an appointment.

My visit with Mr. Cardenas was awesome. I honestly HATE going to the Gyno because I never know what to expect and some doctors are a little awkward about the whole situationship. He was super professional and he makes you feel comfortable. I def recommend!

Dr. Ernesto Cardenas is an amazing doctor and person. I felt a little shy when it came down to telling him my situation and he noticed that. Right away, he knew exactly what to say and do to make me feel more comfortable and know that it was normal and that I am not the only one that feels like that. He broke the ice and made me feel super comfortable. Therefor, I was able to let everything out and get the right treatment for all my concerns. Best Gynecologist I've ever had!
